2025 botanicals——-BOTANICALS THIS YEAR.
Fresh leaves which contain sufficient tannin are placed on an organically dyed cloth. This is covered by a blanket which has been soaked in a metallic salt to activate the tannin. The layers are then rolled and the bundle is steamed for 1 1/2 hour to set the organic dye and tannin imprint of the leaf.
All the organic material used in my work is grown on my acreage, including the rust which is used as a. metallic salt.
